JESUS IS IN THIS PLACE

Text: Luke 6:6-11

Introduction:
A. It was the custom of Jesus to be in His Father's house on the Lord's day.
B. The presence of Jesus made all the difference on this occasion.
C. When Jesus is present...

I. THERE IS POWER TO BE HAD.
A. Power to heal the sick.
1. Jesus can still heal the sick! Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
B. Power to save the lost. (Hebrews 7:25) "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them."
1. What glorious power!
2. All can be saved! (2 Peter 3:9) "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
C. Power to meet their every need. (Philippians 4:19) "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."

II. SINNERS ARE MADE GLAD.
A. A man whose right hand was withered.
B. Rise up, and stand forth in the midst.
C. Stretch forth thy hand.
D. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
E. I remember when Jesus made me whole!

III. AND THE DEVIL'S BUNCH GETS MAD. (Verse 11)
A. The scribes and the Pharisees watched him. (v. 7)
B. They were not there to worship.
C. They were there to find fault...
D. They were looking for anything to bring an accusation against the Lord.
E. They communed one with another...
F. They did not care about that man's withered hand.
G. They had withered hearts!

Conclusion:
A. Jesus is in this place this morning.
B. You can leave here glad. Praising God for what Jesus has done in your life.
C. Lost friend, Jesus can make you whole.
D. Jesus can fix withered hearts.
