"God's Plan For
Your Life"
Text: Psalms 16:11 "Thou wilt show me the path of life: in thy
presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for
evermore."
Introduction: God does have a plan or a will for every single man,
women, and child that is born into the world that we live in. Like a
master builder.
I. God's Path For You
A. God's design and order can be seen everywhere
1. Planetary systems
2. Leaves of the trees
3. Flakes of snow
B. The same God who brought design and order to nature also has a plan
for the "crown" of His creation - you and me
C. Nature has no power of choice. Man is a free agent. He may accept
or reject God's plan for his life.
D. God's Word sheds light on our path. His plan of redemption is
reveled through His Word.
II. God's Presence With You - V. 11
A. God made provisions for His plan of salvation for us to personally
enjoy His presence with us. His Holy Spirit can abide with us always.
1. And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another
Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (John 14:16)
B. The Holy Spirit cleanses and fills us with God's love when we
commit ourselves to God without reservation.
C. Spirit filled Christians are joyful Christians. Their lives are
purposeful and meaningful. They are guided and directed by the Holy
Spirit.
D. Spirit Filled Christians are empowered to do God's work.
III. God's Pleasures to You - V. 11
A. There are times in every Christian's life when circumstances don't
go our way.
1. Leads to sorrow and depression.
B. God's plan for His people includes "pleasures for evermore." There
is coming a time when there will be no more sin, sorrow, and
suffering.
C. Before Jesus left this earth, He promised to go and prepare a place
for those who accept, believe, and love Him. In John 14:2,3 "In my
Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told
you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3And if I go and prepare a place
for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I
am, there ye may be also."
D. Christians should strive to bring their friends and loved one's
into God's family so they can share His unending pleasures also.
Conclusion: Just because God has a plan for your life doesn't mean
that you are living according to that plan. You must yield yourself to
His plan and say "Lord you know what I need more than I do, so I yield
myself to your plan."
"Take me and make me the kind of Christian that you would have me to
be."
