Jesus Is the Captain of Our Salvation

Hebrews 2:10 “For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.”

I. The greatest treasure that we can have is our SALVATION!

Mark 4:35 – 41 Jesus Calms the Sea

If Jesus Can Speak To The Sea and Make It Calm He Can Save You And Set You Free.

The waves of life will come. They will rock you and shake you.

Call on Jesus for Help!

II. Jesus is the Author of our Salvation!

Hebrews 12:2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Jesus is the only way to Heaven!

Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

III. Jesus is the Finisher of Our Salvation!

1 John 5:13 “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Jesus finished our salvation on the cross when he bled and died and rose again the third day, conquering death!

Ephesians 2:8, 9 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

You can not earn your way to heaven! Like a balance scale.

Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
