LAST MINUTE INSTRUCTIONS

{1 Peter 4:7-11}

-The NT makes many references to the current time as being the "Last Days"
-If it was the last days during that time, we are surely in the "Last Minutes"!

For the unbeliever...
Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior!

For the believer...
I - Be SOBER {vs 7, 1:13, Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour

-Because the end is near, it is time to get serious about your Christianity

II - SUPPLICATION - Watch and pray {vs 7; Mark 13:32-33 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.

-Watch how you are living
-Avoid sin because Christ may return at anytime
-Not only watch and pray for yourself, but for others as well

III - CHARITY - Love in action {vs 8; 1 Cor 13}
-We should love and be sympathetic toward one another as Christ's return gets closer

IV - SOCIABLE - Hospitality without grudging {vs 9; James 5:9 Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest ye be condemned: behold, the judge standeth before the door.}
-Holding grudges shows signs of unforgiveness
-Fellowship with one another without grudging
-As the world grows worse, Christians should grow closer

V - SUPPORT - One another with gifts and talents {vs 10; Matt. 25-28 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? 45Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. 46And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.}
-Each and every person has talents and has received gifts from God
-Use talents to bless others
