Text: Mat. 3:1 - 12

Intro: God called John the Baptist to prepare. God is calling us to prepare. We need to prepare for God. We need to prepare to meet God. We need to prepare for Revival!

Prepare means to make ready beforehand for a specific purpose, as for an event or occasion:

Ill: Cleaning and straightening your house for company.

I. Prepare To Meet The Lord!

1 Sam. 7:3 “3And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.”

A. By Getting Saved
B. By Getting Baptized
C. By Repenting of Sin

II. Prepare For Eternity
John 14:3 “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
Ill: Like preparing for a wedding.

A. Relationship With Our Groom - Jesus
B. Work on Earth
C. Affects Our Rewards

III. Prepare For Revival
A. Expect It!
B. Yearn For It! Desire strongly or persistently!
C. Pray For It! A lot!
D. Fast For It! Skip A Meal For It!
