REVIVE US AGAIN!

Text: Psalm 85:1-8

Introduction:
A. We need reviving again!
B. And God is still in the revival business.
C. In this message may we consider some important things about revival.

I. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF IT. (Verse 6a)
A. Not the singers.
B. Not the evangelist.
C. But God!

II. CHRISTIANS STAND IN NEED OF IT.
A. When the fire is burning low.
B. When the brook runs dry.
C. When things are more important to us than Jesus is.
D. When we are indifferent toward God.

III. CONFESSION IS THE WAY OF IT.
2 Chron. 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.)

IV. REJOICING IS THE RESULT OF IT. (Verse 6b)
A. God can put a new song in your heart.
B. David’s prayer.
Psalm 51:10-12 "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.")

Conclusion:
A. Let revival begin with you tonight.
B. It always starts with one.
C. God will send a great revival.
