Stepping Out
Text: Exodus 13:15-22
Introduction: The Israelites were afraid of the unknown. They had not
had to trust God like that before. They had heard about their
ancestors trusting God and how God had provided for them in the past.
BY STEPPING OUT IN FAITH, WE …
I. Conquer Fear
1 Cor. 2:5 “That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but
in the power of God.”
A. Egypt is a type of the world or sin
B. Fear is lacking faith
C. Special reward for overcoming
II. Please God
Heb. 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he
that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently seek him.”
A. Rewards come
B. Blessings Flow
C. Joy comes
III. Obedient to God
Romans 16:26 “But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the
prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made
known to all nations for the obedience of faith:”
A. Trusting God
B. Accepting God’s Will
C. Believing God
IV. Blessing Flow
Eph. 1:3,4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in
Christ: 4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in
love:
A. Power Source
B. Rewards
C. I want to be under the spout where the blessings pour out!
