Text: John 5:1-16

Introduction: We need the water stirred this morning. There are people here who need physical healing, there some that need spiritual healing. Some need a fresh touch or encounter with God Almighty.

A. Salvation – A Picture of Grace
Bethesda” (v. 2) means “house of grace,” and this is what it became for this one man.

II. Right Conditions
Isa. 55:6,7 “Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

Col. 1:10 “That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God;”

Conclusion: We need God. We need God to stir our hearts and souls, We need God to stir our church. We need God to stir the water. To bring new life to all who will receive it.

Illustration: A pond that is still is a lifeless pond.

Rough water can be scary sometimes, but it is a faith builder.
