The Prince of this World

Text: Isaiah 14:12-17     Rev. 12:9-12     Rev. 20:2,3,7,10

Introduction: This morning I am preaching on the prince of this world. We can look around and see the cause and effects of his ministry. His power is not to be overlooked. His job is not to be ignored. His mission needs to be exploited.

The Prince of Pride

People think they know more than God.

Try to put themselves on the same level as God

Pro. 16:18 " Pride goeth before destruction…

D. James 4:6 "…God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble."

The Prince of Perversion - Acts 13:6-11

1. Enemy of all Righteousness

2. Perverts the right ways of the Lord

3. Doctrines of the Bible by all of the modern translations

4. 2 Cor. 11:14-15 "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

5. You will know them by their works!

6. Blinded

The Prince of Suffering - Job Chapter 1

1. God first allowed Job's faith to be tried

2. Satan was doing what he loved the most

3. Job passed the test and you can too!

4. Paul had a thorn in the fleash which he called a messenger of Satan

The Prince of Temptation - Mat. 4:1 "Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil."

1. Notice he came when Jesus was weakest

2. He came when Jesus was beginning His public ministry

3. He came when Jesus was about to do something great!

The Prince of Betrayal - Luke Chapter 22

1. He entered into one of the twelve disciples

2. To accomplish his will

3. Destruction

4. Confusion

5. Fear

Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art  thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
