The Right Kind of Heart
Prov. 4:23
Text: Prov. 4:23 "Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life".
Definition. In the Bible the heart is a term for the center of man's thinking, emotions, and will. From the heart proceed all the actions and motivations of man, that is what our text is saying in Prov. 4:23
It would seem that if God was a Dr. (By the way He is…) He'd be a Heart Surgeon.
This Morning I want us to think for just a moment about the Heart that God wants us to Have…

We need to be like David and say…
Ps 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Ezekiel 36:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
What does God see today when He see's your Heart?
1 Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.
