Event Spotlight

“And Then The Judgment”


Text: Romans 14:10 – 12 & Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”

Intro: As we read the Bible we find a universal theme through out the Old and New Testament of The Judgment. We are held accountable to God for our actions in this life. As our life passes before us we will have to give an account for: Every sin and every deed.

I. Judgment Day Is Coming For The Lost! Rev. 20
A. The Great White Throne Judgment
1. At the end of the Millennial Rein Of Christ.
2. Every Lost Soul Will Be United With Their Bodies.
3. Every Lost Soul Will Bow On Their Knees.
B. They Will Be Judged Out Of The Books Or Records In Heaven.
C. The Verdict Will Be Swift And Severe.

II. Judgment Day Is Coming For The Saved! 2 Cor. 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
A. Eccl. 11:9 – 10 “Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. 10Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity.”
B. Everyone Will Be Held Accountable For Their Actions.
C. EVERYONE will be held accountable for the things that they have said and done…
D. or the things they SHOULD have said... and SHOULD have done... but DIDN’T
E. No one will be getting off on a technicality…
F. No one will be wrongly accused of guilt....
Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
 

III. Be Sure Your Sins Will Find You Out.
A. Garden Of Eden – The soul that eateth will die.
B. Ezekiel - The Soul That Sinnith It Shall Surely Die.
C. Romans 6:23 The wages of sin is death.
D. Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.”

Conclusion: 1 Cor. 3:11 – 13 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man’s work of what sort it is. 14If any man’s work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”
