		    Be Prepared 
		     
		      Text: Joshua 1:8,9 5:2 - 5 
   
		      Intro: One of the greatest challenges in life is to be prepared for 
		      whatever comes our way. In the event of a hurricane we can prepare. In 
		      the event of natural disaster we can be prepared.  
             
		      Webster definition: to make ready beforehand for some purpose, use, or 
		      activity 
		      to work out the details of : plan in advance 
   
  I. Prepare For The Battle 
		      A. The Bible Is For Today - Training 
		      1. Our Foundation 
		      2. Our Strength 
		      3. Our Source of Success 
		      B. Know The Enemy - Special Intellegence 
		      1. Spiritual Battle – Eph. 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and 
		      blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers 
		      of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high 
		      places. 13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may 
		      be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” 
		      2. Through the Word – Sword of the Spirit 
		      3. Be Aware – 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your 
		      adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he 
		      may devour:” 
		      C. Over Come All The Obstacles – 1 Samuel 17:47 “And all this assembly 
		      shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the 
		      battle is the LORD’S, and he will give you into our hands.” 
		      D. Don’t Give Up 
   
  II. Prepare For The Victory 
		      A. Faith – 1 John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the 
		      world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our 
		      faith. 5Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth 
		      that Jesus is the Son of God? 
		      B. Trust – Psalms 7:1 “O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save 
		      me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me: 
		      C. Obedience – Joshua 5:7 “And their children, whom he raised up in 
		      their stead, them Joshua circumcised: for they were uncircumcised, 
		      because they had not circumcised them by the way. 8And it came to 
		      pass, when they had done circumcising all the people, that they abode 
		      in their places in the camp, till they were whole. 9And the LORD said 
		      unto Joshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from 
		      off you.” 
             
            III. Prepare For Eternity
